Local Lotteries

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using the ‘Product” and “Service” provided and operated by “Local Lotteries” the “Promoter”.


Your access to and use of the service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.


By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access the Product or Service.



We may terminate or suspend access to our Service and Product immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.


All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.



We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.


Terms of ticket sales


All participants must be 16 years of age or over at the time of participation in the promotion and claiming a prize.


1(i)      To play, participant must pay £1.50 to choose 4 numbers between 1 and 20.


1(ii)     Each ticket must be bought for its full price. Tickets can only be bought solely from www.locallotteries.co.uk.

2(i)      Winners must claim their prize by sending their contact details to the contact us page on this site or we will contact you directly through email within 1 week of winning. (We hope this time will decrease as Local Lotteries grows and becomes more efficient). Winners will receive their prizes within 28 days of their details being received.


2(ii)     The winners of prizes agree to allow the promoter to use their name and likenesses for advertising and publicity purposes without additional remuneration.  The winners may be asked to take part in reasonable publicity and PR activity at the promoter's sole discretion and request.


3(i)      All data specified must be correct otherwise the participant will be disqualified. Isle of Lewis Lottery has the right to disqualify participants and exclude them from future participation in the ticket promotion if they give incorrect or incomplete details, manipulate or try to manipulate the participation process, game and/or the offer, and/or culpably infringe the rules, and/or otherwise attempt to influence the promotion in an unfair and/or dishonest manner.


4(i)      The adjudicator's decision is final. The promotion will end at 10PM, Saturday at the end of every fortnightly draw. If the prize is not claimed by 28 days or 2 draws, the claim for that prize shall be automatically voided and the funds will go towards the community fund for that period.


5(ii)     Before a prize can be awarded on any ticket it may be subject to validation by the promoter.  The Promoter shall declare a ticket invalid and accordingly not award a prize if:

    1. The winning numbers on the ticket do not appear on the list of winning numbers held by the Promoter in respect of the promotion;
    2. The ticket is counterfeit or has been forged in whole or partly;
    3. The ticket is not redeemed by the deadline specified;
    4. The Promoter believes that the ticket has been submitted by a person ineligible to participate in the promotion as listed in these terms and conditions;
    5. The ticket is not fully legible or is mutilated, altered, unreadable, incomplete or has been tampered with in any manner; or the Promoter reasonably believes that the ticket has not been obtained in an authorised manner;
    6. The winning numbers are different to the number’s retained by the retailer matching the ticket;

The promoter is [Local Lotteries].  The promotion and all claims or disputes arising therein (including the prizes) shall be governed by Scottish law.
